Updates
CardZen changelog
Product updates, workflow changes, fixes, and help guide updates for CardZen users.
October 2026
Linked cards take the eBay price
When you link a card with no asking price to a live eBay listing, the card now takes the listing's price. Cards that already have a price keep it.

Clearer purchase label on cards
A card's purchase panel now reads Purchase when the card is linked to a purchase. It no longer shows Suggested next to Linked.

Reliable card photo uploads
Replace Front or Back and add extra photos using HEIC or HEIF files. CardZen converts them to JPEG and resizes large photos before saving. Unreadable photos are refused without interrupting later uploads or Capture.

Grade changes reach eBay
Pushing a graded card now updates the grade, grader and cert number in the Condition section of your eBay listing, instead of a separate item-specifics copy.

Cards from finished batches show in Inventory
Cards in a batch you marked done, or no longer in any batch, now show in Inventory and can be listed, on the web and the iPhone app.
Inventory
- A card stays In review only while a batch you have not marked done holds it. Marking a batch done moves its cards to Inventory.
- These cards count in Inventory on Cards, Home and the iPhone app, and List now works for them. A card whose listing ended without a sale can be relisted.

One Print Run box
Every card screen now has one Print Run box, so you can type a card's serial stamp however it is printed and CardZen fills the listing title and eBay's Print Run from it.
Cards
- The Serial # box is now called Print Run in the card editor, bulk edit and manual Capture, with the example 12/79.
- Type 79, /79, 12/79 or 12 of 79. CardZen saves 79 as /79 and 12 of 79 as 12/79, so the title shows /79 and eBay gets Print Run 79.
- Print runs saved before this change stay as they were until you edit them.

Standard eBay item specifics
eBay listings now fill eBay's standard Player/Athlete, Season, Year Manufactured, League and Type item specifics, and serial-numbered and parallel cards fill Print Run and the Serial Numbered and Parallel/Variety features, so buyers filtering eBay can find your cards.
Listing
- eBay listings now fill eBay's standard Player/Athlete, Season, Year Manufactured, League and Type item specifics, and serial-numbered and parallel cards fill Print Run and the Serial Numbered and Parallel/Variety features, so buyers filtering eBay can find your cards.
- Pushing a listing keeps Features you added on eBay.

Bulk listing fixes for paired photos and shipping packages
Cards from paired photo uploads list normally again, and shipping packages now match the eBay app: weight, size, and irregular.
Listing
- Cards whose back photo was paired after a bulk upload no longer fail with "Photo could not be traced to your upload."
- Cards using a Box package no longer fail with "Invalid <ShippingPackage>."
Settings
- Shipping packages ask only for weight, dimensions, and irregular, the same fields as the eBay app. eBay chooses the package type.
- Your saved packages keep working. There is nothing to update.

Easier front and back pairing
Create cards stays in view, and fixing a wrong pair takes one drag.
Capture
- Create cards stays on screen while you scroll your pairs.
- On a computer, drag a photo onto any front or back to swap the two.
- The order buttons wait until every photo has uploaded.

Cash flow reports and steady photo order
Money in minus money out for the period you choose, with dated supplier refunds and a Profit section. Photos you upload together keep the order you dropped them in.
Cash flow
- P&L is now Cash flow: money in minus money out for the period you choose. Every sale counts, with or without a card cost.
- It shows the money you've recorded in CardZen, not your bank balance.
- Record a supplier refund on a purchase with the date you got it, and it counts as money in that month. Refunded purchases stay money out in the month you bought them.
- A Profit section shows profit on the cards you sold in the period, your business expenses, and your profit after them.
Capture
- Photos you upload together keep the order you dropped them in, even past 10 photos.
- If a photo fails to upload, the photos after it wait until you press Retry, so your pairs stay in order.

Cards, listings and pricing fixes
Faster card lists, more reliable eBay listings and more accurate graded prices.
Cards
- Clicking a sold card goes straight to Sales.
- The Sort dropdown takes over from a column-header sort and shows the sort in use.
- Long card lists open and scroll faster.
- Going back from a card returns you to it in the list. On a phone, this works for the first 60 cards.
Listings
- New eBay titles no longer repeat the year or show "#N/A".
- A listing you end can no longer come back as Active after a sync.
- Listings opens without waiting for eBay. Changes made on eBay show on your next visit, or when you press Sync from eBay.
Pricing
- Graded cards with no grade entered are priced from graded sales, not raw sales.
iPhone Home
- "At cost" now includes your cards' recorded costs.

Photo, purchase, import and report fixes
Fixes that keep your photos, costs, imports and reports accurate.
Photos
- Replacing a photo twice in quick succession now always keeps your newest photo.
- With auto-crop turned off, the pairing screen shows each photo whole.
- Linking a card to a purchase no longer removes a placeholder that already has photos.
Purchases and costs
- Average cost for boxes and lots is now shown per card.
- eBay purchase sync no longer skips a day, and it fills in missing fees and updates your card costs.
- Merging two cards can no longer lose a purchase cost.
Imports
- Cost-file imports over 1,000 rows no longer report every row as failed.
- An import row whose cert number and eBay item number point at different cards now asks which card to use.
- Editing or clearing a cert number now updates matching for imports and sales.
Reports and Home
- The tax report says which rows count toward its totals.
- Home shows an error instead of $0 when your numbers can't load.
- The account data export now includes every row.
Editing
- The card editor saves quick corrections in order.
- After a bulk edit stops partway, batch review shows what actually saved.
Batches
- Deleting a batch works again.

Expenses, excluded eBay items, and shipping by price
Track business costs, keep non-card eBay items out of your totals, and let each card's price pick its shipping.
Expenses
- A new Expenses page records supplies, grading, show fees, and other business costs by date and category.
- Reports shows your business expenses and your profit after them for the period you choose.
- Refunded and cancelled purchases no longer count as spending on Reports.
Non-card eBay items
- Exclude from CardZen on Listings, Sales, and Purchases keeps supplies and other non-card items out of your totals. Nothing changes on eBay.
- Excluded items stay excluded when you import again, and Restore brings them back.
Shipping
- In eBay settings, price bands pick each card's shipping policy from its asking price, for example Standard Envelope under $20.
- Graded cards, lots, auctions, and cards priced $20 or more always use your fallback policy.
Old sales no longer stuck in Needs shipping
Sync eBay now catches orders eBay cancelled, refunded, or shipped, however old.
Sales
- An eBay order that was cancelled, or refunded in full before you shipped it, now shows as cancelled when you sync, and it leaves your revenue.
- Sync eBay now re-checks older sales still waiting to ship, so an order eBay has since shipped, cancelled, or refunded clears on its own.

Search that finds the card you're picturing
Type the player and the parallel, or the grader and the grade, in any order. Plus a filter for untagged rows, a way to record a return, and cancelled eBay orders that stop counting as sales.
Search
- Type several words in any order and every one has to match, so “Fantilli black” finds the Black & White card even though the player and the parallel sit in different fields. Cards, Listings, Sales and Purchases all search this way.
- Cards now searches everything it knows about a card: grader and grade, serial number, team, sport, variation, subset, condition, custom label, storage location, batch name, listing SKU, eBay item number, and your own tag names.
- Words that aren't fields work too: rookie or rc, auto or autograph or signed, relic or memorabilia, graded or slab, numbered or serial, and lot. Combine them freely, as in “bgs rookie”.
Filters
- A No tag choice in the Tags dropdown on Cards, Listings, Sales and Purchases shows only the rows you haven't tagged yet, so you can see what is left to sort. On Cards it carries a count, like every other tag.
Sales
- Mark returned on a sale you already shipped sends the card back to inventory carrying its cost and takes the sale out of your revenue and profit. Cancel order still covers an order that never shipped.
- Reopen this sale brings either one back if you reverse it by mistake.
eBay sync
- An order cancelled on eBay is now reversed for you. The sale is marked cancelled with eBay's own reason and the card returns to inventory, so a cancelled order stops counting toward your revenue and profit without you doing anything.
- Cancellations are picked up whatever the order's age, not only on orders from the last day.
- Fixed an issue where a card you had marked returned could be pulled back out of inventory when eBay fee data arrived later.
One consistent header across your ledger pages
Cards, Listings, Sales and Purchases now share the same layout, so the controls you reach for are in the same place on every page.
Layout
- Page titles moved up into the top bar on Batches, Cards, Listings, Sales, Purchases, P&L and Loose ends, giving every page more room for the table itself.
- Every ledger page now runs in the same order: actions on the top row, key figures under them, the status filters, then search and filters.
- The green button is always the main action for the page and sits last, with Export CSV beside the import options.
Filters
- A new Needs attention menu on Cards, Listings and Sales gathers the problem views in one place: Without cost, Without photos, Offers waiting and No card attached, each with its count.
- Status counts stay visible on the row above, so you can still see at a glance how many cards or sales sit in each stage.
Sales
- The note explaining which sales are left out of net profit now folds behind an Excludes link beside the margin, so it only takes up space when you want to read it.
Good to know
- On a narrow window the header keeps to four rows instead of wrapping, and the extra actions fold into a More menu.
- Smart search on Cards has been retired. The regular search, tag filter and sort all work as before.
- The Columns button is now the only place to choose table columns; the small icon inside the table header is gone.
Share your cards on Instagram and TikTok
Turn what you listed today, or any cards you pick, into post-ready slides.
Recaps
- Listings → Create recap gathers what you listed today, yesterday, this week, or this month. Untick anything you don't want on camera.
- Pick cards yourself from the Cards list and choose Create recap to share any cards you have on hand, listed or not.
- Choose Instagram or TikTok and each card becomes a slide sized for that platform, with your photo, the card's details, what you paid, your asking price, estimated fees, and estimated profit.
- Every slide carries your eBay store name, and a Live on eBay badge when the card is listed.
On your phone
- Generating on a phone sends the slides straight to the share sheet, so you can save them to Photos and post them in order.
Good to know
- Cards with no recorded cost, or with eBay stock photos instead of your own, are left out, and the recap tells you why.

- Adding the second photo in the web Cards or batch editor completes an awaiting card and keeps its batch stage in sync.
- Completing a mobile capture moves an awaiting card to its next stage, including when CardSense is skipped.
- Adding a first front or back photo in the mobile app now saves correctly. Replacing a photo keeps the card at its current stage.

Ending a Listing Can Delete the Card, and SKUs Stay on the Card
When you end an eBay listing you can now choose to delete the card instead of returning it to inventory, one at a time or in bulk. Cards listed from CardZen also keep the SKU that went to eBay.
Ending listings
- End on a row, in the phone action menu, or in Bulk end now asks whether to keep the card in inventory or delete it. Use delete for cards you no longer own.
- A card with sales, a scheduled listing, or lot membership is always kept, and the result tells you which happened.
SKUs
- Listing or scheduling a card saves the eBay SKU on the card, so Cards and exports show the same SKU that is on eBay.

Decide Best Offers With the Numbers in Front of You
When a buyer sends a Best Offer, it now appears at the top of the listing page with Accept, Counter, and Decline, next to what you would actually net, your profit, and your ROI at that price.
Best Offer decisions
- A waiting offer shows at the top of the listing page on desktop and on your phone, so it is never buried under the description.
- The decision panel compares the offer to your list price and suggested price and projects net, profit, and ROI if you accept.
- Build a counter with a slider or by typing an exact price, a target profit, or a target ROI. Counters stay between the buyer's offer and your list price.
- Profit and ROI need a cost basis. Link the card to a purchase to see them; CardZen never shows a made-up zero.

Import Your History, and Close Every Sale With No Card
Drop in the spreadsheet you already keep and every row lands: as a card, a purchase, a sale, or all three. Sales that credit no card now have a way to the card you sold. Loose ends is in beta.
Import your history
- Excel workbooks are read directly, every sheet listed. Each sheet is imported on its own with its own receipt and undo. CSV still works.
- Cost is optional. A row that identifies a card lands, and its cost stays visible under Without cost until you add it.
- Date sold and sold price on a row record a sale of that card, mark it sold, and use the cost on the same row for profit. Fees and shipping are only ever what your file says.
- Rows that match nothing show in a table exactly as they will land. Fix any cell, keep them all in one click, or handle any row by hand.
- A step tracker shows where you are, and you can go back until the records are written.
- Skip the purchases to bring in just the cards and their sales.
- Receipts list every purchase, card, and sale an import created, with one-click undo.
Sales with no card
- Attach a sale to the card you sold, create the card from the sale, or detach it again. Tick several sales to create their cards at once.
- Choosing a card shows your inventory first, then cards in a batch, then listed cards, hiding nothing.
Fixes
- The Sales ledger no longer shows empty for accounts with sales.
- Import failures say what went wrong instead of "failed."

Cards and Listings Finally Agree on What Is Listed
Every page now answers "is this card listed" the same way, straight from what eBay reports. A card no longer reads Listed on one page and Inventory on another, and the Cards and Listings counts reconcile.
One answer everywhere
- Cards, Listings, the batch list, batch review, the submit page, and the bulk list check all read one shared listing status, so they can no longer disagree.
- A card marked Listed always has a live eBay listing behind it, and a card whose eBay listing ended returns to Inventory on every page at once.
- Scheduled listings read Scheduled until eBay's start time, and a listing eBay accepted but CardZen could not finish recording reads Unconfirmed until you press Sync eBay.
- Readiness checks in batch review (missing condition, no photo, unpriced) still update instantly as you type.

Find Cards Without Cost and Fix Them in One Step
Cards now shows which cards have no cost recorded, and Add cost turns one typed total into a real purchase across the cards you select. Importing eBay listings no longer creates duplicates of cards you already captured.
Cards without cost
- A "Without cost" tab on Cards shows every card with no purchase behind it, so you can see at a glance where profit numbers are still incomplete.
- Select the cards that came from one buy, click Add cost, and type what you paid. CardZen creates one purchase and splits the total evenly.
- The new purchase is named after the players in it, so it reads naturally in your purchase history.
- Cards that already have cost are never included, so a card can never be charged twice.
- The Loose Ends page collects the same unfinished work in one place.
Importing eBay listings
- Importing a listing for a card you already captured now links to that card instead of creating a second copy, keeping the card's cost and profit together.
Fixes
- Date pickers are now readable in dark mode across the app.

Accurate Numbers, Visible Photos, and Tables That Behave
A broad round of fixes across the app. Dashboard money is now consistent: revenue, profit, and investment all respect the time range you pick, sellers with sales history always see their revenue, and Home now matches the Sales page for every sale. Listings, Sales, and Purchases tables show card photos on every row. Your eBay SKUs are visible again on cards and included in the Cards CSV export, and every Export CSV button now tells you exactly what one click downloads, on every page. Listing statuses now stay in sync with eBay automatically twice a day, repairing sold listings without ever touching your live ones. Resizing table columns is smarter: widening one column shrinks the others proportionally so nothing disappears off-screen, and the last column is now resizable too. Also fixed: scheduling a listing now completes its batch (and cancelling reopens it), inventory counts on the mobile site match your actual cards, and the contact form works when you're signed out.
Your Full Purchase History, Now Exportable
The Purchases page now shows every purchase you've recorded. Previously it stopped at your 500 most recent, and some older purchases were hidden entirely by a data quirk; both are fixed, so your spend totals now reflect your real history. There's also a new Export CSV button above the purchases table. Its label always tells you exactly what one click downloads: every purchase, the current filtered view, or just the rows you've selected. The file includes every detail CardZen stores (full dates, seller, costs, order numbers) and can be fed back through Import CSV.

Accurate Cards from eBay Purchases
Cards created from your eBay purchases and listings are now accurate. 'You pick your card' purchases record the exact card you chose, with the card's own photo when the seller provided one. A card number in a purchase title (like C-246) can no longer be misread as a lot quantity and create a pile of duplicate cards. And when converting an eBay listing, CardZen asks before reusing a card it already created from one of your purchases, so the card keeps the cost you paid; every conversion now ends with a short confirmation of what it did.

Attach Cards to Purchases in Bulk
Attach cards to a purchase in one step, or let CardZen suggest which cards belong to which purchase, so cost basis and profit are right even when cards and purchases arrive separately.
Add to purchase
- Tick any cards on the Cards page and choose Add to purchase to attach them all at once.
- The purchase list starts with purchases that still have room for more cards; switch to All to reach one that already looks complete.
- Before you confirm, see what the purchase already holds and exactly what each card will cost once it is added.
Suggested matches
- Find cards for purchases on the Purchases page checks every card that has no purchase against the purchases still waiting on cards.
- Matches are ranked on set, year, purchase date, and whether the purchase names your player or card number; strong ones arrive already ticked.
- Nothing is attached until you confirm, and you can skip any row you disagree with.
Cleaner purchases
- When a purchase was waiting on photos for a card you just added, the awaiting-photos placeholder is replaced by the real card instead of leaving a duplicate behind.
- A purchase batch closes itself once nothing is left to capture.
Clearer Names for eBay-Imported Listings
Listings imported from eBay now show the player, set, and card number instead of the raw eBay title. The eBay sync column explains its status on every row, and special characters like & display correctly.

Listing Defaults That Actually Apply
Your saved listing defaults now reach every new eBay listing, and listing durations display correctly.
Listing defaults
- New listings now honor your saved Format and Best Offer settings, including auto-accept and auto-decline thresholds. If you never changed these settings, new Buy It Now listings accept Best Offers, matching what Settings has always shown.
- The listing duration setting now reflects how eBay works: Buy It Now listings are always Good ’Til Cancelled, and the duration you choose applies to auctions.
- Updating a listing's price no longer changes its Best Offer setting; listings created without Best Offer keep it off.
Listing durations
- The Listings table now shows GTC for Good ’Til Cancelled listings instead of an incorrect day count, and matches the end date on the listing's detail page.
- Existing listings correct themselves automatically the next time they refresh from eBay.

- Column layout, order, widths, and sort now save reliably — even changes made right before a refresh — and follow your account across devices.
Cards page
- A new Cost basis column shows what each card cost to acquire — the same number your Sales ledger uses when that card sells.

Create Cards from Your eBay Listings
Imported eBay listings without a matching CardZen card can now create and link one in a click — without changing anything on the live listing.
Listings
- Open an unlinked listing and choose Link card → Create card from this listing, or select several listings and use Create cards to convert them in bulk.
- Each card is built from the listing's photo and details: title, custom label (SKU), condition, and business policies carry over, so the card starts in sync with its listing.
- Graded listings keep the full slab photo, including the grading label.
- Creating a card uses 1 CardSense scan; lots and multi-quantity listings create a single card from the first photo.
- The Link card picker no longer offers cards that are already listed, so one card can't back two live listings.

- Edit inventory card now opens the correct linked card editor and returns to the listing afterward.
Listing insights
- Listed times now refresh from eBay instead of showing an unexplained dash.
- Traffic panels now preserve impression and source data while clearly explaining zero-view or unavailable states.
Autocomplete Suggestions Restored

More Accurate eBay Fee and ROI Estimates
CardZen now uses your eBay Store tier, estimated buyer tax, shipping, order fees, and promoted listing rate to produce consistent projected profit and ROI across web and mobile.
Pricing and ROI
- Projected profit and ROI now include buyer sales tax, buyer-paid and seller-paid shipping, eBay's per-order fee, and your promoted listing rate.
- Choose your eBay Store tier in Selling defaults so trading-card estimates use the fee schedule that applies to your account.
Listing fees
- Insertion fees and optional listing upgrade fees returned by eBay are now kept separate from sale fees and included where they affect projected profit.
- Imported eBay sales now preserve later charges and credits so realized profit and ROI stay current after adjustments.
Consistent estimates
- Batch review, listing tools, cost analysis, profit calculators, and mobile selling flows now use the same eBay fee calculation.
- Projected totals are labeled as one-item-per-order estimates so the per-order assumption is clear.
Description Editing, Season Years Everywhere, and More Grading Companies
Fixed multi-line editing in the card description box, extended season-style years across listings and exports, and added support for more grading companies on graded slabs.
Editing cards
- The description box in the card editor now handles multi-line text properly — pressing Enter adds a line break, the cursor stays where you put it, and your custom descriptions keep their formatting all the way to eBay.
Listing on eBay
- Graded slabs from more grading companies — including ISA, TAG, Ace, Arena Club, and others — now list with the correct grader information. Previously some of these could fail or list with the wrong details.
- Cards with two-year seasons like 2024-25 now show the full season in eBay's Season detail and in listing titles and descriptions.
Exports
- CSV exports now include the full season (like 2024-25) for cards from two-year sets.
eBay Listing Fixes and Season-Style Years
Fixed eBay listing problems with description formatting, graded slabs, and the Promoted Listings setting, and added support for two-year season formats like 2024-25.
Listing on eBay
- Listing descriptions now keep their line breaks and paragraphs on eBay instead of collapsing into a single block of text. Revising an existing listing applies the corrected formatting to it.
- Graded slabs now list successfully — fixed an error that blocked cards with half grades (like a BGS 9.5) or a certification number from being listed.
Promoted Listings
- Unchecking Promoted Listings on a card now sticks: it no longer re-enables itself when you leave and return to a batch, and unchecked cards are no longer promoted when listed.
Card details
- Year fields now accept two-year season formats like 2024-25, used by hockey and basketball sets. Cards keep displaying the full season everywhere.
Credit Activity — See Exactly Where Your Scans Go
New Credit Activity page in Settings shows every CardSense scan charged and every credit added to your account, with a reference code you can share with support.
Credit Activity page
- Settings → Credit Activity lists every scan charge with the card or batch it paid for, and every credit — scan packs, monthly renewals, plan changes, and support adjustments.
- Filter by scans used or added and by date range, or export your full history to CSV.
- Every entry includes a short reference code you can copy and share with support to resolve billing questions quickly.
Billing accuracy
- Scan pack purchases, monthly renewals, and plan changes are now recorded in your activity history the moment they happen.
- Fixed an issue where CardSense AI searches could incorrectly report you were out of scans.
- Fixed an issue that could block scanning for accounts using scan packs after their monthly allowance ran out.
Capture Cards Straight from a Purchase
Start capturing cards directly from any purchase — CardZen opens the capture flow with the purchase's batch already selected and links costs automatically.
Capture from purchases
- Manage cards & costs now includes Capture cards into this purchase — one click opens the capture flow with the purchase's batch preloaded.
- Purchases with photo slots still waiting go straight to the camera; otherwise choose camera, drag & drop, or CSV import.
Automatic cost linking
- Every card captured into a purchase's batch is linked to that purchase automatically with its share of the cost — no manual linking step.
- Card cost totals now match your purchase amounts exactly.
Listings and Batch Review Display Fix
Fixed a display issue where adding extra columns to the Listings or Batch Review tables could make column values overlap.
Tables
- Added columns no longer overlap neighboring values on the Listings and Batch Review tables — the table now scrolls sideways cleanly to fit your chosen columns.
- Column values that don't fit are trimmed instead of spilling over the next column.

- New option in Settings → eBay → Templates: "Don't duplicate data if it's already referenced via another merge field." When checked, a field is skipped if its value already appears in another field — for example, the year or manufacturer won't repeat when your set name is "2025 Topps Chrome".
- The live title preview reflects the setting, and it applies everywhere titles are generated: single-card listings, batch submit, and bulk listing.
Batch review
- Sort the batch review table by any column — click a heading to sort ascending, descending, or turn sorting off.
- Customize your columns with the same column picker as the Cards and Listings tables: show, hide, and reorder any card detail, including player, year, set, card number, sport, team, parallel, insert, manufacturer, serial number, rookie, auto, relic, condition, grader, grade, and price.
- Your column layout and sort are remembered across visits and devices.
Bulk edit
- Bulk edit now covers every card data field: player, year, set, card number, sport, team, parallel, insert, manufacturer, serial number, rookie, auto, relic, condition, grader, grade, listing format, and price.
- Sport and grader choices now match the options on the card edit screen.

Bulk Capture Reliability for Large Batches
Large photo batches now upload, pair, and build into cards reliably from start to finish.
Bulk capture
- Fixed errors that could interrupt the capture and pairing flow when uploading large batches of photos (100+ images).
- You can now pair and create cards while photos are still being read — cards no longer silently fail to create when you move quickly.
- The "Building your cards" step now shows real progress and keeps going as long as your batch needs, instead of giving up early.
- Cards that hit a temporary hiccup while building now retry automatically instead of getting stuck.
Stability
- Brief connection interruptions now recover automatically with a quick reconnect instead of an error screen.
- Batch review stays smooth while many cards finish processing at once.
Automatic Pricing, One-Click Listing, and Faster Capture
Set prices automatically from your cost and target return, list a whole batch to eBay at once, and import large batches of photos more reliably.
Pricing & listing
- Suggested prices can now be set automatically from your cost plus a target return, so cards get priced even without recent comparable sales.
- Your buyer shipping charge now comes from your eBay shipping policy, so profit estimates match what buyers actually pay.
- List an entire batch of cards to eBay in one action instead of one at a time.
- Comparable eBay sales are now shown for reference alongside your suggested price.
Capture & pairing
- Importing a large batch of existing card photos is now reliable — no more timeouts or partial imports, and a retry picks up where it left off instead of creating duplicates.
- On the pairing screen you can drag one photo directly onto another to pair a card's front and back, and photos are no longer labeled before you've sorted them.
- Batch review now sends you to the pairing screen to finish any unpaired photos.

Smarter Suggested Prices
Suggested prices now reflect what cards actually sell for, and fewer cards get stuck before you can list them.
What's new
- Suggested prices now lean on recent sold prices, so they better match what your cards really sell for.
- Cards without recent sales can use a cost-based suggestion (if you turn it on), so nothing's left unpriced.
- Cards that have all their details are marked ready automatically — fewer get stuck in review before listing.

Active Listings Stay Put Through Sync Hiccups
A temporary eBay connection hiccup during a listings refresh no longer marks your Active listings as ended.
Listing sync reliability
- Fixed an issue where a brief eBay hiccup during a listings refresh — a throttle or momentary connection blip — could incorrectly mark all your Active listings as ended. Your listings now stay untouched unless eBay returns a confirmed set of your active items.

More Reliable eBay Listing Sync
CardZen now handles listings ended or removed directly on eBay, so Active listing counts match eBay after sync.
Listing sync
- Sync from eBay now moves listings out of Active when they were ended or deleted directly on eBay.
- Cards linked to externally ended listings return to inventory when there is no matching sale, so they can be relisted or edited.
- Large listing refreshes reconcile ended and sold listings in smaller batches for more dependable syncs.

Faster, More Reliable Batch Pricing
Getting prices in a batch is faster and clearer, opening and closing cards is quicker, and the batch view no longer drops to an error after pricing.
Getting prices
- "Get prices" runs faster by looking up several cards at once.
- When no comparable sales turn up for a card, you now get a clear notice that those cards stayed unpriced — instead of a green success message that implied prices were found.
- A slow price lookup on one card no longer holds up pricing the rest of the batch.
Reliability
- Fixed an issue where the batch view could suddenly show "Something went wrong" shortly after getting prices, even when you weren't doing anything.
Faster navigation
- Opening a card from a batch and returning to the batch now loads noticeably faster.

Smoother Card Editing and More Accurate Pricing
Bulk-edited card conditions now stick, custom SKUs carry through to eBay, listing titles no longer repeat the brand, and suggested prices and shipping estimates are more accurate.
Editing cards
- Bulk-editing a card's condition now applies correctly — the condition you choose shows on each card afterward, and the editor offers eBay's standard condition options (Near mint or better, Excellent, Very good, Poor).
- Cleaned up the eBay listing panel in the card editor and removed a duplicate description-template control that always showed "Standard" regardless of your actual selection.
Listing titles and SKUs
- Auto-generated listing titles no longer repeat the brand name — for example, a Topps card no longer reads "Topps Topps".
- Custom SKUs (custom labels) you enter now carry through to your eBay listings, and auto-generated SKUs stay consistent if you relist a card, which avoids duplicate-label errors.
More accurate pricing
- Improved comparable-sales matching for more accurate suggested prices, with better handling of graded vs. raw cards, leading-zero card numbers, set names that include the brand, and grading labels like "Pristine".
- The quick listing flow now fills in your per-policy estimated shipping cost in its profit estimate, matching the card editor.

Open Any Card, Smarter Batch Cleanup
Open any card to its own detail page, delete batches without losing listed or sold cards, and have cards you list reliably land in your Inventory.
Open any card
- Click a card in your Cards list to open its own detail page — view its photos and details and edit fields like name, set, condition, and price right there.
- Fixed an issue where clicking some cards sent you back to the list instead of opening them.
Smarter batch delete
- Deleting a batch now keeps any cards that are already listed or sold and moves them to your Inventory — only unlisted cards are removed.
- The delete confirmation spells out exactly what will happen, and points you to "Done" if you just want to file the batch away and keep all its cards.
Listing reliability
- Cards you list on eBay now reliably appear in your Inventory, so they no longer get stuck out of sight after listing.

Promoted Listings on eBay
Promote your eBay listings for more visibility — set a default ad rate, adjust or stop promotion on any listing, fine-tune it per card, and see the ad cost reflected in your profit estimates.
Promote on eBay
- Turn on Promoted Listings so your cards get higher placement in eBay search. Set your default ad rate in Settings → eBay → Pricing & offers, and optionally skip promoting items priced over an amount you choose.
- With the default on, new listings you create through CardZen are promoted automatically at your chosen rate.
Adjust any listing
- Promote, change the ad rate, or stop promotion right from a listing's detail page — no need to manage it on eBay.
Per-card control
- Set a specific ad rate for an individual card in the card editor, overriding your account default for that listing.
See the cost in your profit estimates
- Your estimated profit now includes the Promoted Listings ad fee — in the card editor it updates live as you move the rate slider, and the batch review and submit views factor it in too.
More accurate comps
- Comparable sales now leave out rarer numbered (e.g. /20, /99), super-short-print (SSP), and photo-variation versions when your card isn't one — these were inflating suggested prices.
- Numbered cards still match their own serial-numbered sales.

- When a card uses that policy, its estimated shipping is filled into the profit estimate automatically — and you can still override it on any card.

Dashboard, Reports, and Search Improvements
Your dashboard and P&L now show real activity by default, Sales and P&L stay on the same time range, and searching for cards, purchases, or batches narrows to real matches.

- Summary tiles now fit neatly on a single row.
Sales & P&L
- Sales and the P&L report now share one time range — defaulting to all-time — and remember your selection as you move between them, so periods and totals stay consistent.
Search & linking cards to purchases
- Searching for a card, purchase, or batch now narrows the list to real matches instead of showing loosely-related results.
- When assigning a card to a purchase, suggested matching cards now load correctly, and card names no longer show a doubled year.

- Mark a card's variant — Rookie, Autograph, or Memorabilia.
- Set your own custom label (SKU) on a card, or leave it blank to use the automatic one.

Editable Listing Titles, Store Categories & Listing Fixes
You can now edit a card's eBay title and description before listing and choose a store category, and we fixed several listing-screen issues — including a clear (✕) button that did nothing, business policies and shipping that showed the wrong values, and listings showing the wrong location.
Edit your listings
- Edit a card's eBay listing title and description in card details before you list — your changes are saved and used when the listing goes to eBay.
- When you list from a batch, the title and description sent to eBay now match what you see in CardZen.
- Set a Store Category for a card by choosing from your eBay Store's own categories, so it lists in the right section of your Store — shown only when your eBay account has a Store.
Listing screen fixes
- The clear (✕) button in card detail fields now clears the field instead of doing nothing.
- The submit-to-eBay review now shows the actual business policies, shipping, and listing format your listing will use, instead of generic defaults.
- Auction listings now show their starting bid in the listing summary instead of $0.
- Card images now appear reliably in the listing review.
Your eBay location
- Listings now use your saved seller ZIP code for the item location instead of a placeholder. Set your ZIP in Settings → eBay; CardZen will prompt for it before listing if it's missing.
Capture
- Capture now reminds you to add both the front and back of a card so CardSense can fill in the details automatically.
- If you add a missing front or back photo later, CardZen offers to re-run card recognition.

Auctions, Calculated Shipping & More eBay Selling Tools
You can now list cards as auctions and use eBay calculated shipping, and choosing your business policies is easier. CardZen also captures a card's manufacturer (like Upper Deck, Topps, or Panini), shows it in card details, lets you add it to your eBay listing titles and descriptions, and sends it to eBay as the Manufacturer item specific. Your eBay purchases also pick up carrier tracking and mark themselves as received once eBay reports delivery, so your purchase list stays current automatically.
Auction listings
- List a card as an auction with a starting bid, a 3-, 5-, 7-, or 10-day duration, and an optional reserve price.
- The starting-bid field now accepts prices smoothly as you type.
Calculated shipping
- New Shipping package settings (Settings → eBay → Defaults): set a default weight, dimensions, and package type, with one-tap presets for raw cards and graded slabs.
- Your package details are sent to eBay so listings that use a calculated shipping policy now publish correctly.
Business policies
- Payment, shipping, and return policies are easier to choose — when you have only one of a policy type, it is applied automatically instead of blocking your listing.
Capture and card details
- The manufacturer is now read from your card during capture and saved with it.
- A new Manufacturer field appears in card details, where you can review or edit it.
Listings and templates
- Manufacturer is available as a merge field you can add to your eBay listing title and description templates.
- When you list a card, its manufacturer is sent to eBay as the Manufacturer item specific.
Purchases
- eBay purchases now capture the carrier and tracking number once eBay provides it, including eBay Standard Envelope shipments.
- When eBay marks a package delivered, its purchase automatically updates to Received.
- Existing eBay purchases fill in tracking and delivery status on the next purchase sync.
Listing Editor and Automatic eBay-Ready Photos
Two big additions this release. You can now edit any synced eBay listing right inside CardZen — title, price, quantity, item specifics, description, and Best Offer all push straight to eBay. And every card you capture now becomes clean, eBay-ready photos automatically: a cropped front, a cropped back, and a combined image, each squared on a neutral background, with on/off controls in Settings → Photos.
Listing editor
- Each listing now opens to a detail page with a photo gallery and full-size viewer.
- Edit the title, price, quantity, item specifics, description, and Best Offer inline — changes are sent to eBay right away.
- Listings created through eBay's newer inventory system, including third-party custom labels, can now be revised — not just classic listings.
- Link a synced eBay listing to the matching card in your collection so cost and profit line up.
- When eBay does not allow an edit on a listing, such as the custom label or condition, CardZen tells you instead of failing silently.
Automatic eBay-ready photos
- Each captured card now produces three eBay-ready images: a cropped front, a cropped back, and a combined front-and-back image — all squared on a clean, neutral background.
- Auto-crop detects the card's edges and straightens tilted photos, so your cards come out clean and consistent without any manual cropping.
- The combined image places the front and back side by side at matching sizes — the look top sellers use.
Settings → Photos
- New controls to turn auto-crop and the combined image on or off.
- Auto-crop works best on a solid, uncluttered background. Prefer to keep your photos exactly as shot? Turn it off.

Listing Performance Insights
Each listing's detail page now tells you why it is or isn't selling: a search funnel shows how often eBay surfaced it, how many shoppers clicked, and who's watching or making offers — with a plain-English read on the weakest step. A new day-by-day views chart tracks real momentum, and the Activity feed shows what actually happened and when: offers received, your responses, price changes, going live, and selling.
Listing detail
- New search funnel shows the last 90 days at a glance — times seen in eBay search, views, watchers, and offers — with a short verdict pointing at the weakest step.
- Daily views are now tracked day by day, so the trend chart shows real momentum (history builds nightly).
- The Activity feed now lists real, timestamped events — Best Offers received, your responses, price changes, when the listing went live, and when it sold.
- Pending Best Offers appear as a banner with the highest offer amount.

Sales Reconciliation, Cancelled Orders & Purchase Batches
Every eBay sale now shows the sales tax eBay collected and the shipping label you paid, so each row adds up exactly to eBay's payout — and you can cancel an order that never shipped. On the buying side, each purchase now gets its own batch with a card awaiting photos and your cost already attached: capture when the package arrives, with no duplicate records and no manual cost assignment. The Cards page is now your complete collection view, showing every card at every stage.
Sales
- The fee breakdown on each sale now includes the sales tax eBay collected and remitted, matching your eBay order details.
- Each row itemizes its deductions — eBay fees, shipping label, and card cost — so sold price plus shipping, minus those, equals your net line by line.
- Sales that haven't shipped yet show a provisional net (marked ~) until the shipping label settles, instead of overstating profit.
- Existing sales pick up their tax details on the next eBay sync.
Cancelled orders
- New Cancel order action on the Sales page for orders that haven't shipped or completed — for when you or the buyer cancel before delivery.
- Cancelled sales show a neutral Cancelled status, distinct from Returned, and are grouped under the Returns tab.
- Cancelled and returned sales are excluded from gross revenue, eBay fees, net profit, and average sale on the Sales page — on web and mobile.
- Cancelling a sale automatically returns the linked card to your inventory.
Purchases
- Every imported or manually added purchase now creates its own batch, named after the order, holding a placeholder card for each card you bought.
- Placeholder cards carry their share of the purchase cost from the start — split equally by default, adjustable per card.
- The purchase page's new Cards in this purchase panel shows total, allocated, and remaining cost at a glance, with a Capture cards shortcut when photos are still needed.
Batches
- The Batches page now separates batches awaiting photos (purchases on the way) from batches in review, each with a one-tap Capture button.
- Capturing into a purchase batch completes the waiting card: photos attach to the existing record and its cost stays linked, instead of creating a duplicate.
Cards
- The Cards page now shows every card you own at every stage — awaiting photos, in review, inventory, listed, sold — with stage filters and counts.
- Cards without a batch now appear too; previously they could be missing from the list.
Reliability
- Marking a sale returned or cancelled now reliably moves the linked card back to Inventory and out of Sold.
- Stronger duplicate-listing protection: CardZen now blocks creating a second eBay listing for a card that's already listed, across all listing paths.
- Fixed purchase sync creating empty batches with no cards in them. Older empty batches are safe to delete from the Batches page.
- Fixed eBay sync buttons that could spin forever — large syncs now finish reliably, and if one runs long the page tells you it's continuing in the background instead of hanging until you refresh.
Exports
- CSV export and the Tax report now include a Shipping Label column and a shipping-labels total, so exported rows reconcile to the penny.
Portfolio P&L Report & Customizable Tables
A new P&L page combines your purchases and sales into one portfolio view — cash flow, realized profit, and inventory at cost. Plus: choose exactly which columns you see on Listings, Sales, Purchases, and Cards, and compare live sold comps right on the listing page.
Portfolio P&L
- New Reports section in the sidebar with a P&L page that combines Purchases and Sales by timeframe, from the last 7 days to all time.
- Cash flow at a glance: what you spent on cards vs what your sales brought in, with net cash flow for the period.
- An itemized realized profit statement: item sales and buyer-paid shipping make up gross revenue, then final value fees, promoted listings, payment processing, shipping labels, and the cost of cards sold are deducted line by line.
- Inventory on hand at cost shows how much of your spend is still sitting in unsold cards — and why cash flow and realized profit differ.
- Returned and cancelled sales are excluded from every number; sales still waiting on a fee sync are excluded from realized totals and called out.
Help guides
- New guide: Capture, Batches, Cards & Linking — how CardZen's four core ideas fit together.
- New guide: Portfolio P&L — how cash flow, realized profit, and inventory at cost are calculated.
Customize your tables
- Every table now has a column picker at the top right corner — check the columns you want, drag to reorder them, and your layout is remembered on every device you sign in from.
- Dozens of new optional columns: start price, Buy It Now, watchers, views, end time, days to sale, and more on Listings; itemized fees, order totals, ROI, and tracking on Sales; subtotals, shipping, tax, and order numbers on Purchases; player, set, grade, and value details on Cards.
- Click any column header to sort ascending or descending; click again to return to the default order.
- Tighter, lighter tables show up to 45% more rows on screen, and wide layouts scroll smoothly sideways without crowding.
Listings
- The listing page now shows live sold comps, so you can compare your asking price against recent sales without leaving CardZen.
Sales
- Cancelled orders now show their own clear status through the return flow, separate from buyer returns.
Dashboard accuracy
- Dashboard Revenue, Profit, and ROI now always calculate from your complete sales history — fixing cases where they could read far lower than your actual sales.
- Recent sales on the dashboard now show the same per-sale net profit as the Sales page, and the revenue trend chart uses the same math.
Sales Tax on eBay Purchases
Purchases imported from eBay now include the sales tax you paid, so your cost basis and spend totals match your eBay receipts.
Purchases
- eBay purchases now capture the sales tax charged at checkout and show it in the purchase cost breakdown.
- Total cost, cost per card, and total spend now include sales tax, matching your eBay order totals.
- Existing eBay purchases update with their sales tax on the next purchase sync.

Accurate eBay Fees, Net Profit & Mobile Sales
CardZen now pulls itemized eBay fees and calculates true net profit on every sale, brings the full Sales view to the mobile app, and shows real sale dates.
Sales, fees, and net profit
- Itemized eBay fees (final value, promoted listing, payment processing, international, and regulatory) now sync per sale, so net profit is accurate.
- Multi-card orders split fees, shipping, and tax across each card for correct per-card profit.
- eBay shipping-label costs are now included in net profit.
- Enter a cost manually on any sale so net profit still calculates when a sale isn't linked to a card.
- When eBay needs extra permission to share fee details, CardZen now shows a clear reconnect prompt instead of $0 fees.
- The Sales list shows each sale's actual date (for example, Jun 7, 2026) and stays consistent no matter where you're signed in from.
Mobile app
- The mobile app now includes the full Sales view with revenue, fees, net profit, lifecycle filters, fee breakdowns, and eBay sync, matching the web experience.
- Improved bottom-navigation contrast and active-tab visibility.
Reliability

- A longer sync window lets larger fee syncs finish instead of stopping early.
- More stable eBay connection that won't drop on a temporary refresh hiccup.
- Prevented duplicate sales records from repeated syncs.
- Re-importing eBay purchases works again, and card costs recalculate correctly.
Sold Price Sync Fixes
Sold eBay listings and sales now use the final buyer-paid price, including Best Offer and discounted sales.
Sales and listings
- Fixed sold eBay sales so Best Offer and discounted transactions use the final sale price instead of the original asking price.
- Repaired existing synced sales when CardZen can match the sale back to eBay order or staging data.
- Updated sold listing views and exports so they do not fall back to the old asking price when the actual sold price is missing.
eBay Sync Repairs

Sales and fees
- Synced eBay sales per line item so multi-card orders can be tracked more accurately.

- Kept active multi-quantity listings active until eBay reports they have ended or sold.
- Ended listings with confirmed matching sales now appear under Sold.
- Improved listing publish confirmation when a listing succeeds on eBay but needs review in CardZen.
Purchases
- Saved eBay purchase item photos, item links, and item numbers when purchase history syncs.
- Showed the purchased item title first in purchase views, with the seller as secondary detail.
- Backfilled missing purchase tax and buyer fees on existing eBay purchase rows when eBay provides those amounts on resync.
Settings
- Fixed eBay settings and configuration issues that could show a blank page for some users.
