What Loose ends shows

Loose ends lists the connections that are still missing between your cards, your purchases, and your sales. Nothing on it is broken and nothing expires — it is a to-do list you can ignore for as long as you like.

Every tile shows a number and a button. The number is exactly the rows the button takes you to, so the count and the list can never disagree.

• Cards without cost — profit is wrong until these carry what you paid.
• Cards awaiting photos — cards you declared but have not shot yet.
• Purchases holding no cards — money spent that is sitting against nothing.
• Sales attached to no card — revenue you received that credits nothing.
• On eBay, not in CardZen — live listings with no card behind them.
• Listed here, not live on eBay — inventory CardZen thinks is listed and eBay did not return.

What is never a loose end

A choice you made is never a problem. A card you deliberately held back from listing, a card with no grade, a card with no storage location, and a card whose details you typed by hand instead of scanning are all complete. Loose ends only shows things that make your numbers wrong or block your workflow.

Create cards for a purchase that has none

A purchase with no cards is not damage. It usually means you bought the cards and have not photographed them yet.

• Before creating anything, CardZen looks for a card you already have. A certification number match links to that card instead of making a duplicate.
• A weaker resemblance is never applied on our say-so: that purchase is left alone and flagged so you can link it yourself from the purchase.

1. 1Open Purchases and choose the "No cards yet" tab, or click through from Loose ends.

4. 4CardZen creates one card per item the purchase says it holds, links each to that purchase so it carries its share of the cost, and puts them all in one new batch named for the run.
5. 5The new cards are awaiting photos. Capture them whenever you like — they use no card scans until you do.

Cards awaiting photos stay out of your way

Cards you declared but have not photographed are hidden from the Cards page by default, so declaring six hundred cards does not bury the page you use every day.

A line under the filter tabs says how many are hidden, and "Show them" opens the Awaiting photos tab. Nothing is deleted or lost.

The two eBay tiles

"On eBay, not in CardZen" counts your live listings that have no card behind them. Open Listings, choose "No card in CardZen", select the ones you want, and create cards from them. Imported listings stay listings until you ask.

"Listed here, not live on eBay" is inventory CardZen believes is listed that eBay did not return. CardZen never ends or deletes anything on its own; it tells you and leaves the decision to you.

• If CardZen has not yet read your whole eBay active list, the second tile says "couldn't verify" instead of showing a number. A zero there would claim a check nobody ran.
• It resolves on the next sync — press Sync from eBay on the Listings page if you do not want to wait.

Sales attached to no card

These are sales CardZen holds with no card behind them — usually cards sold before you joined, or cards you never captured. Your revenue is real, but there is no cost to subtract from it, so those sales count toward revenue and not toward profit.

Open Sales and choose the "No card attached" tab to see them. Returned and cancelled sales never appear here: a reversal is a wash, not a gap.

Each of these sales has two ways out. Open the sale's row and click Choose a card… to attach the card you actually sold: it is marked sold and its profit is recorded. If the card was never in CardZen, click Create card from this sale and CardZen declares it from the sale's title, already sold, with its cost left open until you add it. Detach card is the way back: the card returns to inventory unless another sale still credits it. To handle many at once, tick the sales on the No card attached tab and click Create cards from these sales; each becomes its own sold card, and any sale without a title is skipped and named. When choosing a card by hand, nothing is hidden, but your inventory cards come first, then cards still in a batch, then listed cards.
