Share recaps on Instagram and TikTok

What a recap is

A recap turns your cards into a set of images you can post. CardZen makes the pictures; Instagram and TikTok add the music and the swipe.

Each card becomes one slide showing your photo, the card's details, what you paid, what you're asking, estimated selling fees, and your estimated profit.

Recap what you listed

Open Listings and choose Create recap. CardZen gathers the cards whose eBay listings went live in the window you pick.

• Choose Today, Yesterday, This week, or This month.
• Untick any card you don't want on camera. The totals update as you do.
• Only cards that are live on eBay appear here. Cards that have since sold or ended are left out.

Recap cards you pick

To share cards you simply have, tick them in your Cards list and choose Create recap. This is an On hand recap: any card you still hold qualifies, whether it's listed or not.

• A card you've never listed shows what you paid, and nothing else. Nothing is estimated for it.
• A card that has sold is never included. Those belong to a sold recap.
• Switch to any window at the top to go back to recapping your listings.

Generate and post

• Choose Instagram or TikTok before generating. Each platform gets slides sized to fill its screen, and CardZen remembers your choice.
• On a computer, each slide downloads as a numbered image. Upload them in that order.
• On a phone, the slides go straight to your share sheet so you can save them to Photos, then post from Instagram or TikTok.
• A recap holds up to 20 slides. If you picked more, CardZen uses your highest-priced cards and tells you how many were left out.

Why a card was left out

CardZen only puts a card on camera when it can tell the truth about it. When a card is skipped, the recap says why.

• No recorded cost: profit can't be worked out, so the card is left out rather than shown as free. Link it to a purchase to include it next time.
• Not your photo: cards still using an eBay stock image are left out, the same as when listing.
• No photo at all: nothing to show.
• Sold, ended, or not listed: depends on which kind of recap you're making.

What the numbers mean

• Estimated fees and profit use the same calculation as your card editor, including your eBay store level, promoted listing rate, and shipping cost, so the slide always agrees with the rest of CardZen.
• Profit is always rounded down, never up. A post under your name never overstates a day.
• Recap slides never show a market or comp value.
