Slabfy alternative for eBay sports card sellers: CardZen vs Slabfy in 2026
A comparison of Slabfy and CardZen for sports card sellers who sell mostly on eBay. It covers Slabfy's October 2026 plans and eBay listing caps, what Slabfy does well, where CardZen fits instead, and who should stay on Slabfy.
Slabfy is built for dealers who work card shows and run consignments, and it also lists to eBay. Its $10 and $20 plans cap eBay listings at 50 and 250 a month, and unlimited eBay listing starts on Dealer at $40. CardZen is built for sellers who sell mostly on eBay. It costs $17 a month for 1,000 CardSense scans, with no CardZen cap on eBay listings, and it shows each sale's profit from the fees eBay charged. If you work shows or hold consignments, stay on Slabfy.
Slabfy describes itself as an AI operating system for the trading card hobby. It prices cards, runs a card show register, tracks consignments, hosts your own store, and lists to eBay. If you're looking for a Slabfy alternative, the reason is usually narrower. You sell mostly on eBay, you don't work a table, and you want eBay listing and profit tracking without paying for show tools.
This guide compares Slabfy and CardZen for that seller. It covers what Slabfy does well, its current plans and eBay listing caps, where CardZen fits instead, and who should stay on Slabfy.

What Slabfy does well
Slabfy runs on the web and in a native iPhone app. Its FAQ says it connects "market intelligence, buying tools, dealer operations, and an AI agent in one system." CardZen has no equivalent for most of the tools below.
- Card Show POS. You set up a show, load inventory, and sell from a tablet. Slabfy calculates cash change, records payments and trades, shows live profit and loss with table fees, and writes a post-show recap. It keeps consigned and owned cards apart.
- Consignments. Slabfy tracks whose cards you hold, commission splits, sales, and what you owe each consignor, and it calculates payouts. Each consignor gets a dashboard.
- Price Check. Scan or search a raw or graded card, and Slabfy shows a 90-day average from sold sales with the sales behind it. On Dealer, buying mode flags each card in a stack Buy, Pass, or Your call, per the Price Check page.
- Grading math. Flip Finder lists each PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC grade that would turn a profit after the eBay fee, shipping, and the grading fee. Grade Ladder turns the possible grades into an expected value and ROI.
- Fy. Slabfy's AI assistant answers a phone call, a text, or a chat. The Fy page says it prices a card from a photo, logs sales by voice, and lists on eBay, and it asks before it changes anything. Each plan includes a set number of Fy minutes.
- Listings and a store. Slabfy creates fixed-price eBay listings and lists cards in your own store at slabfy.com/@yourname, which takes offers. It suggests a price from market value plus a 0, 10, 20, or 30% markup. When a card sells in one place, Slabfy ends its other listings, per the Listings page.
- Bulk import. Every paid plan imports photos and any CSV file. Shop adds sheet-feed scanner import through a Dropbox folder, per the Bulk Import page.
- Coverage. Slabfy tracks sports cards, Pokémon, and sealed wax. Its graded pricing covers PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC.
If your week includes working a table, buying collections in person, or paying consignors, Slabfy covers those jobs and CardZen doesn't.

- The 14-day free trial covers monthly Collector, Collector Plus, and Dealer. It needs a payment method and includes 5 Fy minutes. Shop starts at its regular price.
- Annual plans are billed upfront and save up to 33%. New annual Shop subscriptions are $1,499 a year.
- Slabfy takes 0% of your sales. Processor and marketplace fees, such as eBay's, still apply.
- Every paid plan includes AI card identification with no per-scan fee. Slabfy says unusually high use may pause temporarily.
- The card limit counts cards and wax you own, cards in an open Price Check, and consignment inventory that is draft, active, or on hold. Sold and archived history doesn't count.
Why eBay sellers look for a Slabfy alternative
Most of your sales happen on eBay
Slabfy's Dealer and Shop plans add Vendor Table Tools, the show register, and consignments. Shop also adds a cash drawer count and day close. If you sell nearly everything on eBay from home, you pay for tools you won't open.
CardZen is built for that seller. You photograph a card, and CardSense, CardZen's AI card reader, fills in the player, year, set, card number, parallel, and other details. You list the card on eBay from CardZen. When it sells, CardZen syncs the sale from eBay, marks the card sold, and shows what you made. CardZen takes no cut of your sales.
eBay listing caps on the $10 and $20 plans
Slabfy's Collector plan publishes 50 eBay listings a month and Collector Plus publishes 250. Unlimited eBay listing starts on Dealer at $40 a month.
CardZen doesn't cap eBay listings on either plan. Both plans include scanning, eBay listing, and profit tracking. Starter and Pro have different CardSense scan allowances, and only Pro offers scan top-ups. eBay's own selling limits on your account still apply with either tool.
For example, a seller who lists 400 cards a month needs Slabfy Dealer at $40. On CardZen, scanning those 400 cards fits in Starter's 1,000 scans at $17.
Card limits vs scan limits
Slabfy limits how many cards you can manage at once, from 500 on Collector to 25,000 on Shop, and doesn't charge per scan. CardZen limits CardSense scans per month, 1,000 on Starter and 2,500 on Pro, and doesn't cap how many cards you store. Pro members can add 1,000 scans for $8, and those packs never expire.
Which limit costs less depends on your numbers. For example, a seller who already holds 8,000 cards and scans 500 new cards a month needs Slabfy Dealer at $40 for the card count, and fits CardZen Starter at $17. That comparison excludes the scans needed to bring the existing collection into CardZen. A collector with 400 cards who mostly price-checks cards fits Slabfy Collector at $10.
Profit on each eBay sale
For sports trading cards, eBay charges sellers without a Store 13.25% of the total sale up to $7,500, plus $0.30 per order of $10 or less or $0.40 per order over $10, per eBay's selling fees page. The total includes shipping and sales tax. On a $100 card with free shipping and 8% sales tax, eBay keeps $14.71 and pays out $85.29, as the seller fee cheat sheet shows. That's before the card's cost, the label, and supplies.
Slabfy's profit and loss report lists sales, cost of cards sold, eBay selling fees, and net profit. It's on Dealer and Shop. Its public pages don't state whether eBay fees arrive from eBay's fee records, so this guide makes no claim about that connection.
When the connected account grants finance access, CardZen reads each sale's fees from eBay, including the final value fee, the per-order fee, and Promoted Listings ad fees. Net profit is the sale price plus any shipping the buyer paid, minus those fees, the eBay label, and what you paid for the card. Net shows once the fees and the card's cost are both in. It's on both plans. Run your own numbers first in the free eBay profit calculator.

Who should stay on Slabfy
Stay on Slabfy if you need any of these:
- You work card shows and want a register for sales, trades, and cash, with profit per show.
- You hold cards on consignment and pay consignors.
- You price-check stacks when you buy and want Buy or Pass flags.
- You want market values, daily price alerts, and grading profit estimates across your collection.
- You sell in your own store or at shows as well as on eBay, and want Slabfy to end the other listings when a card sells.
- You track Pokémon or sealed wax.
CardZen would replace only the eBay part of that work.
Who should try CardZen instead
Try CardZen as your Slabfy alternative if:
- eBay is where you sell almost everything.
- You list more than 250 cards a month and don't need Dealer's show or consignment tools.
- You want each sale's net profit from eBay's own fee records on a $17 plan.
- You buy lots and want each purchase's price, shipping, tax, and fees split across its cards.
- You hold many more cards than you add each month, so a scan limit costs less than a card limit.
CardZen doesn't have a card show register, consignment tracking, its own storefront, or collection value tracking. It lists only to eBay. You can use its web app on a computer or phone. CardZen also has an iPhone app in TestFlight, outside the public App Store. This guide follows the web workflow.
You can use Slabfy for shows and consignments and CardZen for eBay. If you do, let one tool manage each eBay listing. A sale you ring up in Slabfy doesn't reach CardZen. Open the unsold card in CardZen, choose Record sale, and save the sale to link it and mark the card sold.
Moving your eBay selling to CardZen
- Connect eBay in CardZen. It can import your active listings and your recent eBay sales, as Connect and use eBay explains.
- Use Create card on active imported listings with quantity 1. Creating a new card uses 1 CardSense scan. Multi-quantity listings stay unlinked, and a lot creates one card record, not one for each physical card. Linking a listing to a card you already have uses no scans.
- Bring in what you paid from a spreadsheet. CardZen reads CSV and Excel files and lets you map each column, including cost, shipping, tax, and fees. It matches costs to existing cards or creates placeholders that need photos before listing. See Import a cost file.
- Decide which tool manages each eBay listing. Slabfy ends a listing when the card sells in another channel, and CardZen revises the listings you change in CardZen. If both tools manage one listing, a price change or an ended listing in one tool can surprise you in the other.
Choose by where you sell
Slabfy is built for dealers who work tables, buy in person, and pay consignors, with eBay as one of several places to sell. CardZen is built for sellers who list on eBay and want to know what each sale made. If eBay is where you sell, CardZen is the Slabfy alternative to try.
Start free with CardZen. The free trial is 15 CardSense scans or 14 days, whichever comes first, with no credit card required. Or run your last ten sales through the eBay profit calculator before you change tools.
